Come On Summer

Just getting impatient now, which I normally do at this time of year as I am fed up with winter and want to see the growth of the seeds I have planted. You spend months during the winter dreaming about the next year's harvesting of good delicious veg. But it seems to take longer and longer. Or its just me getting more and more impatient. So far I have got about 5 varieties of Tomato, Kelvedon Peas, Leeks, Potatoes, Lettuce, Carrots (Red and Orange), Onions (3 kinds) and Garlic which is growing great. I am also trying to grow some super huge pumpkins. So fingers crossed.

Its A Good Day Today

It has indeed been a good day and in fact a good week, especially as it is half term week. The sun has at last come out and its been out all week, this has enabled us to get all the outside jobs started and the veg seeds going in the ground. So far I've done lettuce, onions, leeks, garlic, tomatoes, peas, carrots and cucumbers. Now I'm just excited to see the resulting shoots coming up, here's fingers crossed.
For growing we have the use of half a polytunnel which is owned by our landlady. We also have a 3 metre raised bed by the bungalow and a lot of pots to fill. One day we are hoping to have a couple of fields worth of stuff and 3 polytunnels. Come on lottery, where are my numbers.
